IMC Training and Assessment weekend
Price TBC • Indoor accommodation • Catered • Minibus transport • Age 18+Further details and applications for the weekend will be posted here in due course However you can apply for an assessment at anytime This event is primarily for adults who require a Hill walking assessment; either first time applicants or those needing to renew or upgrade their existing Hill walking permit It is also open to any adult scout section Leader who aspires to gaining a Hill walking permit in the future and needs formal training, advice and/or log book experience Further information about the assessment process can be found on the IMC website Our base for this event is the Cornel Scout centre near Trefriw, Snowdonia We hope to have an assessor on this trip who can assess scrambling – TBC If so, this option is open to any Terrain 2 permit holders that would like to try and add scrambling to their permit In which case you should apply for Assessment and select the relevant options on page 2 of the application form Sorry, this is not an IMC 'Have a go' weekend open to novice hill walkers or those who just fancy a weekend in the hills
