The Big Help Out
Kent Scouts are encouraging Districts, Groups and Sections to run local public activities as part of The Big Help Out to commemorate the King’s Coronation.

‘The Big Help Out’ is an initiative supported by voluntary organisations across the UK, happening on Monday 8th May 2023, a bank holiday, when we hope to raise awareness of volunteering with the Scouts and the adventures it provides for all young people.

The Scouts have been adding materials to help you be part of The Big Help Out, equally you might have your own ideas already. Suggestions include running small accessible activities like giant Jenga or grass sledging or activities for families to try to encourage them to think about volunteering. There are also great resources on the Brand Centre including activity ideas and the logos in a tab called The Big Help Out.

Kent Scouts have ‘adopted’ the hashtag #MyCrowningMoment to use on social media so you can see what everyone is up to for the Coronation. We would love you to use it before, during and after your events and to tag Kent Scouts on Socials too.

We’d also really like to see what you’ve been up to and you can submit info about your event via the form below!
