HM Queen Elizabeth II - A message from our County Commissioner

Kent Scouts were saddened by the news this evening of the passing of HM the Queen.

The Queen has been a shining light and an inspiration to so many around the world. As the patron of the Scouts, she has supported our movement for many years inspiring our adult leaders and young people.

I am sure many members of Kent scouts have personal memories of the Queen spanning over her reign of 70 years, whether it’s been at a Queen’s Scout parade at Windsor, a garden party, in the crowd at a Royal celebration or even just on television.

On behalf of Kent Scouts, we thank HM the Queen for keeping to her promise to serve her people and I hope we will be able to match that by continuing to do our duty to the King.

Our thoughts are with the Royal family at this sad time.
