Georgina an Explorer in Dover gains The Skills for Lfe Award.

Georgina Moore a 16 year old Explorer in Dover District and a young leader at her local Scout Troop has been awarded the skills for life award.

She was nominated for the courage she showed in a tough situation.

Whist out in Canterbury she witnessed a person collapse. Among approximately 30 adults no one went to help. Georgina left her belongings and went to help.

She used the skills she had learnt from Scouting to help the person, putting them in the recovery position and waiting for the ambulance with them.

Whilst all this happened everyone stood and watched but Georgina knew we should help people In their time of need and stepped up.

As a District we couldn't be prouder to have Georgina as a role model for all out young people and we know she will do even more incredible things in the future.
